International Food
For a small town, Leavenworth has a wide variety of world food. Besides the German food and cafés, there are lots other kinds of international cuisine as well.
There are two great Mexican restaurants in town: South and Los Camperos.
South is the new kid in town and we really like it. They have a nice menu, including a great mole enchilada. We’d never had mole before we had it at South and we really like it. They have $2 and $3 “happy hour” tacos available that you can mix and match that are very tasty. Mr. Accidental Bavarian really likes the carnitas taco.
Los Camperos is a family run restaurant that’s been in Leavenworth for quite some time. They are upstairs above the Alley Café. They have a large menu, delicious food and mucho, mucho friendly service.
Be sure to check out Visconti’s Italian Restaurant for a great fine dining experience.
We look forward to eating at both of these restaurants when we are in Leavenworth again. We’ve heard good things about Visconti’s and Alley Café once made the list of “Best Places to Kiss in Washington.”
