I just finished reading Debbie Macomber’s newest Christmas book, Where Angels Go. It is sweet and funny and is set in our favorite Christmas town, Leavenworth, Washington! I found out about it in an e-newsletter from the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce.
Where Angels Go is about three angels, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy (love those names!) and their Christmas time earthly assignments. The three Prayer Ambassadors, under the supervision of Gabriel, are all about answering prayers. They may be heavenly beings, but that doesn’t mean that all goes smoothly. Where Angels Go is touching, romantic and heartwarming. Just the sort of thing to curl up with beside a cozy fire, with a cup of hot cocoa and homemade marshmallows.
You can read more about Where Angels Go at Debbie Macomber’s website.
I just checked out the Leavenworth live webcam. Front Street is shrouded in fog. It would be a lovely morning to spend in the Enzian Inn lobby, in front of a roaring fire sipping a cup of Starbucks coffee. Aaahh, I can dream, can’t I?
On the subject of homemade marshmallows, my sister-in-law, Diane, has been making them in batches and sharing them generously. They are soooo good! They melt in a lovely creamy layer over tasty hot chocolate. They bring back memories of childhood when marshmallows used to melt. They were the best part of hot cocoa. I wonder what’s changed?
