Established in 1927, Leavenworth Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the Northwest. Built on the site of the former Chelan County Fairgrounds, the course was originally a 9 hole course and was the site of the Northwest Sand Greens championships in the 1940’s. Leavenworth Golf Club has a great history but has changed with the times and is one of the best golf courses in the Northwest. The club is semi-private but open to the public most days. Exceptions to public play are Wednesdays and Sundays until 11 am. The Leavenworth Golf Club course is a par 71 course. It’s 5711 yards with a rating of 67. The course is surrounded by mountain views and the Wenatchee River. You can call each week for a tee-time or, if you haven’t made a reservation, come by the club and wait for an tee-time. A few days a year the club is closed to the public for members-only tournaments.

Begin or end your golf day with breakfast, lunch or dinner at Wild Huckleberry Restaurant at Leavenworth Golf Club. The restaurant is open 7am-8pm in the spring through fall months and from 8am-8pm in winter months. Long considered a great place for breakfast, Wild Huckleberry offers a great selection of omelets, biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. There’s a special lighter menu for golfers on the go. Lunch salads and burgers are offered all day, and dinner service begins at 5pm.

Leavenworth Golf Club is open generally mid-April through October, depending on the weather. In the winter months the course has groomed Nordic Skiing Trails as part of the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club trail system.

Stay and Play at Kahler Glen Golf and Ski Resort. A beautiful mountain course, adjacent to Lake Wenatchee State Park. Kahler Glen is a par 70, 6005 yard course. The course is more challenging than it looks with tight fairways.

Kahler Glen is surrounded by homes, condominiums and townhouses. Many are available for rent, year-round. Rates for weekdays and off-season are very affordable. And both off-season and in-season specials are offered. A restaurant and a members-only athletic club are also part of the Kahler Glen property.

Rental condominiums are 2 bedroom, sleeping up to 6 guests, properties located on the course. Ground floor and second floor condos are available. There are townhouses also available for rent, as well. Townhouses accommodate up to 8 guests.

In the winter months Kahler Glen transforms to a ski resort with cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing on the grounds. The trails are connected to the 30 km state park trail system. Cross-country and snow-shoeing equipment are available for rent in the pro-shop. For more winter activities Stevens Pass Winter Resort is 25 miles away.

In the heart of the village, the Enzian Falls Championship Putting Course offers family fun for all ages. The course is located across Highway 2 from Enzian Inn. A complementary round is provided to guests of the inn, and equipment is provided.

Icicle Inn and Resort has tons of family activities at the Icicle Junction Activities Center including an 18-hole Bavarian-themed miniature golf course. It’s meant for putters of all ages and features ponds, fountains, waterfalls and a water wheel. At the Junction you can also catch a first-run movie, play in the arcade and enjoy a snack at the Coca-Cola® Soda Fountain. Check back on the website for coupons.

The Mt. Cashmere Golf Course is a 9-hole course that winds its way through fruit orchards. It has a family-friendly layout and includes a practice green and a driving range.

In East Wenatchee the Highlander Golf Club is a traditional Scottish style course that has made major improvements, adding water features and lakes. Bunkers are all white sand. The course overlooks the Columbia River, 900 feet below.

Three Lakes Golf Club, in Malaga, four miles from Wenatchee is situated between the Columbia River and the Cascade Mountains. It’s an 18-hole course and is open to the public.

The Lodge at Desert Canyon offers 18 holes of high-desert golf overlooking the Columbia River. Located north of Wenatchee about half-way between Chelan and Wenatchee. There’s also an 18-hole championship putting course. Resort accommodations include suites in the lodge and 2-4 bedroom casitas. All accommodations include kitchens. Lunch and dinner are served in CJ’s Oasis. Golf, play and stay in the relaxing atmosphere of the high-desert.

Bear Mountain Ranch Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course open to the public and to residents of the ranch. In 2005 it was ranked as one of the best new courses. Nearby Lake Chelan offers shopping, sightseeing and recreation in Washington State’s deepest lake.
