My Shutterfly photo books arrived!

The bright orange packaging of a Shutterfly delivery

Shutterfly

I ordered them last week, Tuesday and Wednesday. They arrived 8 days later. If I’d ordered them on the same day they’d have been even less expensive, but at only $8-9 for shipping on each, that’s a fantastic deal! As I mentioned in my previous post, I had two coupons for free 8X8″ photo books. One from TripAdvisor and the other from Shutterfly.

I’m so happy with the quality of the photo books. They’re exactly what I expected from the preview on the website. The pictures turned out great. The pictures are sharp and clear and the color is completely accurate. It’s so much fun to hold the books in our hands and relive our trip to Florida and visits to Leavenworth.

I received an e-coupon this week for 40% off future Shutterfly order. This offer ends June 22, 2011, so hurry! Sign up for an account at Shutterfly and get these great offers in your own email. If you sign up right now, you’ll also get 50 free 4X6″ prints.

Preserve Your Travel Memories

I made two Shutterfly albums this week!

I had so much fun putting these albums together. It was so easy. In just a few hours this week I was able to create two unique and professional looking picture books that record some of my favorite memories from the past year.

I did one for Leavenworth:
Leavenworth (it’s our favorite place!)

And one for our Florida trip from January 2011, where we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary.

It took me a few hours to create each book. The second was much faster than the first. I used the Custom Path. This allowed me to edit the photos and layout quite extensively. I had the program place the photos for me. I then rearranged and resized the photos myself. Another option is the Simple Path. Shutterfly will place the photos and you’ll add and edit the captions. If time is short this will be the way to go.

I had a coupon for a free album from Trip Advisor as a “Thank you” for posting reviews, and another from Shutterfly. If you sign up for an account with Shutterfly, they’ll send you offers, too. Read the coupon’s small print. The free photo book coupons are usually for 8X8″ albums. My coupon was for a value of up to $29.99. I only paid for shipping and handling.

Our daughter-in-law uses Shutterfly photo books to create keepsakes of our 3 year-old grandson, and we love them. We’ve received mugs, calendars and magnets.

What a quick, easy and inexpensive way to create lasting memories. In the past I’ve created an album of my favorite travel and art photos. I’m looking forward to creating several more. I want to take a whole bunch of retro and vintage looking photos and create a nostalgia album. I can’t recommend Shutterfly enough.
